Haunted Walnut Street Inn, Springfield
My introduction to the Walnut Street Inn on the corner of Walnut Street and John Q. Hammons Parkway in Springfield, Missouri, was in the holiday 2016 issue of Midwest Traveler magazine encouraging visitors to “mix it up with ghosts of Christmas past.”

Haunted Story, Indiana
The entire town of Story, Indiana is now the Story Inn. One of the guest rooms, located above an old general store, has been considered haunted for many years by the spirit of Jane Story, the wife of Dr. George Story, and known as the “Blue Lady.”

Haunted Hawaii Plantation Village
Hawaii’s Plantation Village, located in Waipahu, is an outdoor museum of more than 25 restored buildings representing the history of Hawaii. There are reports by staff that half of the 25 buildings are haunted.

Ghosts of Garnet, Montana

The Haunted Castle of Illinois
Villa Kathrine is a Moorish-like castle built on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River in Quincy, Illinois. It has such an interesting history that I am not surprised to find a few spirits involved in the legend as well.
